Terrific Three

The Next Level (Technical Challenge - Elementary Level)

The team create amazing Lego village models and landmarks. They used stop motion to seamlessly move across the village landmarks in search of quest items. The quest-items were well defined to build the Tool (Winch) to get the Ultimate Prizer (Disco Ball), showing team members' ability to understand and apply concepts of simple machines.

Epix Remix (Fine Arts - Elementary Level)

From a finch puppet crafted from pages of the hobbit, to an enormous dragon with articulating limbs and eyes, this team astounded appraisers with their attention to detail in prop and costume design. They amazed us with hundreds of hand drawn animation frames, unique green screen techniques, and a rock band’s worth of hand crafted beards.

In Theory (Scientific Challenge - Secondary Level)

The team from Allen High School blew us away with their Bend-astic Hubble Law documentary style solution. From the graphics, to the acting to the dynamic use of software, this team collectively presented a solution that was very polished from the beginning to the end. The finished product was professional and impressive!
