STEP 2 - ORIENTATION (IN SEPTEMBER and october)

Recommended for: All First-Year Team Managers, new Assistant Team Managers, anyone who has general questions about the program
Expands on the Awareness Meeting.
Topics: volunteer requirement, registration, fees, role of a Team Manager, rules about interference, resources, and overview of the Challenges.

Team Manager Training expands on Orientation and is offered in two separate concurrent sessions.
New Team Manager Training topics: holding a meeting, managing parents, interference, Instant Challenge overview, and relevant resources
Experienced Team Manager Training topics: advanced managing techniques, creativity and Interference, the WOW factor, and relevant resources
For Team Managers who have at least one year of experience managing a team.
STEP 4 - CHALLENGE-SPECIFIC TRAINING (In october and november)

Recommended for: ALL Team Managers and Assistant Team Managers
A break-out session for Team Managers which immediately follows the Team Manager Training described in Step 3.
Focus: Get more information about one Challenge. Choose between either the Rising Star Challenge or one of the competitive Challenges. The Challenge Master will discuss unique requirements and scoring elements of that Challenge.
STEP 5: INSTANT CHALLENGE TRAINING (In october)

Participants divided into two groups: Rising Star Team Managers and Competitive Team Managers
Focus: Challenge Masters for Instant Challenge will discuss the different types of Instant Challenges, the why, when, and how of practicing them, and resources available for finding new ones.

TEAM Manager University! is for those managing either Rising Star or competitive teams. These sessions expand on the information presented in Team Manager Training at the beginning of the season.
