Planning for the 2021-22 Season

Before The Tournament

Teams must purchase a Team Number and Team Manager Background Check from Destination Imagination. Teams will also need need materials for solving their challenge. Your budget will vary depending on the challenge you chose to solve.

NExT Regional Tournament

Required: Teams that compete at the NExT Regional Tournament must register by January 5th. (But, if your team registers early, you get a $25 discount!).

Optional:

If your team chooses not to provide an appraiser for the tournament, there is a $250 appraiser fee.
Many teams also chose to compete in the Texas Xtreme challenge - a one day DI event only available to Texas teams. More info about the Xtreme challenge will be available in 2022.
Teams may also purchase regional t-shirts and pins, which will be available in the NExT store in 2022 and at the regional tournament.

Additional Tournaments

Though most teams will finish the DI season at the NExT tournament on February 26, 2022, some teams may have the chance to compete at higher levels of competition. More information about those tournaments can be found below:
